Reading the colour
The most sought-after Ceylon blue sits between a vivid royal and a softer cornflower — saturated but never inky. Hold the stone away from the light source and look for even colour across the table; zoning and extinction windows are the first things our graders check.
Provenance and paperwork
Every stone we list is graded independently before it reaches the vault. A report from NGJA, GIA or GRS confirms origin and whether a sapphire is unheated — the single biggest driver of value at the top of the market.
